John Haley’s Destination Imagination Team Rocks!

On February 11th six fifth grade students from John Haley attended the Mid-Cities DI competition at Colleyville Heritage Middle School. They were scored in several areas. They wrote their own scripts,designed their own props, and created their own sound effects track. Please write an encouraging message as they look forward to the state competition in Corpus Christi in April. We are so proud of them as they are the first IISD elementary team to attend this state competition. Way to go bulldogs!

Hey guys! I am so proud of the way you have worked together starting last year and now look at you guys! I can’t seem to find the exact words in order to convey how much I adore you guys and to see the looks on your face when they announced your names will stay with me for the rest of my life. Going to State is an experience that I know will always be a significant part of your lives. I am so excited to see what happens and I believe because you are “believers” that we could take this all the way to the Global competition! YOU ROCK!!!!!!

Are you getting excited?? I know I am! We have 45 more days until we hit the road. We need to start brainstorming on what are we going to do to pass the time on the road?! Audio books? Road games? Story Telling? Taking tests?? I am sure we can think of plenty!!
We also have a really cool surprise in store for you guys!

You have already set the standard of exemplary for John Haley (and IrvingISD) ! You guys ROCK!! First elementary team from Irving to go to state is a memory you will always have.
